SEGA’S WCCF SUPERLEAGUE ONE IS LIVE!!!

SEGA have launched a new and exciting tournament concept for WCCF it’s the SUPERLEAGUE!

WCCF - It’s just a game isn’t it? Try telling that to the hoards of loyal WCCF fans who are queuing up to join the next level of virtual Football Management! To those stalwart fans of SEGA’s unique Football Management and card trading system - WCCF is more than a game it’s a way of life!

After a successful tour around the country of WCCF knockout tournaments SEGA have gone one better and devised a SuperLeague system where in players meet up and play each other for the converted title of WCCF SuperLeague Champions.

Players sign up online to enter a WCCF SuperLeague - each division will have 10 teams and each team will play each other twice, a home and away leg. Any standard of team can be entered and teams can include player cards from any version of the game - that’s over 1000+ player cards to choose from! Managers will have to draw upon all their cumulative management skills that they have built up over time, and pit their wits against the very cream of WCCF teams.

Once the fixtures draw is made, players arrange games with each other and then email the results in to the fixtures secretary. All the stats can be seen on line so that Team managers can monitor closely the current status of their side.

SEGA’s Promotions executive Mark Beauchamp said “This is a great opportunity for players to meet up and have fun. Where the WCCF knock out tournaments can be over quickly if you get knocked out in the first round, the WCCF SuperLeague will be more like a Marathon allowing players to prove who is the best over a whole season of games. With the new 05-06 player cards out very soon it is going to be very exciting indeed!”

Players can sign up on line for £5 and get an official SEGA WCCF T-shirt free. Once they are accepted into the league, players can see the table, results, and fixtures for up and coming games - exactly like a regular league. The only difference is you don’t normally get the likes of Ronaldinhio, Stevie G, and Nesta turning out for your Sunday league team!

There are currently 4 locations to play in the WCCF SuperLeague, more are to follow in the near future. The locations are Woking - The Big Apple, Croydon - Megabowl, Sheffield - Namco Station, Portsmouth - Bowlplex and Dudley - Bowlplex.
